ACTA is going to pass tonight. ACTA will allow the authorities to seize and search your laptop/iPod and search it for illegal content, without reason or warning. It will also allow for the censorship of any site the government deems unacceptable, without any sort of trial. ACTA will make all person-to-person file-sharing illegal, even if the files are currently legal today. On top of all this, ACTA will also allow patent-holders to prevent charities from purchasing medicines for people in other countries who need them. This bill is passing tonight and the U.S has signed on.
